This is the second summer I have used this AC WITH temps outside 100 to 110 degrees. Cools great for a 15x15 room with 9 foot ceilings. Quite a bit of furniture in room so reduces cooling/BTU needs. Also I can close the closet off. Has dual speed fans. The lower speed fan kicks in when room is cooled. If you keep unit at lower temps it may stay on high speed mode. There is a sleep mode. Noise is average to me except with notable decrease in noise when in low fan speed mode. I go down to 74-76 so the unit does shuffle to low speed.. I tilt the unit to empty the water from the top nozzle daily. Otherwise you can get a dl or dp error and the unit goes into fan mode only. This maintenance does not bother me but some may disagree. If you turn the unit off please allow the unit to cycle to shut off with the air lovers closing as mentioned in the manual before turning unit back on. The unit uses 900 watts when compressor on with high speed fan. I have run this unit on a power battery back up on refrigerator type mode for cycling compressor to extend battery charging times with no issues. Install was easy. Good quality unit. Performance great. Control remote great with C or F mode, error signals as noted when need to empty water once every one to two days. I have several fish tanks in the room which keeps humidity high and individual performance may be better in drier rooms with no need to drain unit.
