The Hampton Bay Bentley II Outdoor Natural Iron Oscillating Ceiling Fan with Wall Control has a caged fan design and is great when air circulation needs to be directed or if space is tight. It also has an oscillating feature that sways back and forth, creating a nice breeze. Operation is easy with its included wall control which can be installed in place of an existing wall switch. This fan is also rated for damp locations so it can be used under covered outdoor locations. The oscillating function can only be used if a 3-wire conducting cable has been installed in your existing wall switch to the ceiling junction box (a red wire inside your ceiling junction box is evidence of this connection). Great fan! Looks great and packs a punch in terms of strength and power. We have it in a covered deck area by the pool and we live on the water, so even with the occasional breeze that the water may bring, it is still a great feature and performs better than expected. I do see that eventually the motor for the oscillation function could stop working as that is to be expected at this price point, but I doubt it would take much to fix and by the time it does fail, it may just make sense to buy a new one. Otherwise, I love it and it continues to get compliments every time someone new comes over.Great fan so far. I only have two wires and the ground. So to make it osculate I tied the osculating wire and fan wire together, which means the osculating is always on but the speed control works and the osculating works.I’ve had it installed in my small porch six years ago. It looks good and works good. It’s not for a large or for an open space. It made some noise oscillating but a shot of NP40 took care of it.was not the right fit and the company won't respond to talk about how to do a returnDoes not rotate very wellNICECould not get the fan to work properly, had 2 electricians try with no luck
