I bought this product as a cost effective way to cool a smaller space. It seems fairly easy and self explanatory to use right out of the box. Although it doesn't drop the air temperature as much as a conventional A/C unit, if you add some ice to the water bucket you will get better results. I've had the unit for several years now and it still works fine for the most part. The only fault I have had with it is the sensor in the float sometimes sticks in the downward position causing the pump to not activate. Light tapping on the sensor will un-stick it restoring its function. Other than that........no complaints.
